About Me
I have recently moved to New Hampshire. I enjoy railroad history and the research of historical artifacts of railroad companies. I have over 3 years experience in railroading having served in the steam locomotive repair shop of the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum and passenger car restoration company East Tennessee Railcar. During my time with these two organizations I was trained in steam locomotive operation and repair. I also was instructed in performing passenger car restoration work, including 40-year Amtrak rebuilds. I participated in these organizations as a full time employee and volunteer. The termination of the original NS steam excursion program brought my time with these pursuits to an end in 1994. Fast forward to 2013...almost a full 20 years later...and I am a district sales manager - representing Proctor & Gamble in the Northeast and New England. I recently graduated from Granite State College and am studying for a second degree in Healthcare Management. I am interested in becoming an active volunteer in a railroad preservation group in NH, ME, or VT...and I can see great potential in the Silver Lake Railroad...the right-of-way it operates on...and even the small standard gauge steam locomotive you guys have on site.
