I am a fan of the Silver Lake Railroad. This project has revitalized the town and Neil and Ceci deserve massive credit for their vision and tenacity in keeping it all going to completion. Stop in at the diner for some Gifford's icecream, then hop aboard the Silver Lake Train for a snapshot of the areas's busiest beaver ponds and the surrounding forest. The trip takes less than 45 minutes and you will step off the train with a broad smile on your face..for sure. |

I'm a "Golden Oldies" kind of guy, I like 50s & 60's nostalgia, Classic Cars ~ American Autos form the 1920's, 30's, 40's, 50's & 60's as well as older car's from , (1900 to 1970 only), Old Diners, Trains, Old Depot's, Planes, etc. The SLRR is a nice trip back into the past, your newly Restored Diner, is another "Good Ole Day's" Museum place, to enjoy! The SLRR would be a great place to have any "Classic Car Club", Cruise In ! Its peaceful park like setting makes for a pleasant experience. Yes I grew up in the "Howdy Doody" era.... American Bandstand, Elvis, Fats, Ricky...etc! Thanks for letting me, and our (Silver Lake ~ Memories In Motion, Classic Car Group) members..... enjoy all of your SLRR, events.
